Cranial osteopathy is one of the most amazing types of osteopathy. This treatment is based on the rhythm of the body, including mobility of the skull bones. Despite the fact that the bones of the skull harden, there are also fibers between them, which allow it to “breathe” and move at its own pace (cranial rhythm). Normalizing this rhythm by restoring the correct position of cranial bones and sacral region leads to the elimination of a number of the central nervous system diseases.
That particular feature is a foundation for cranial osteopathy, developed by an American scientist osteopath, Dr. Sutherland, in the early 20th century.
Cranial osteopathy is responsible for treatment of diseases associated with the central nervous system:
- stroke (prevention and treatment)
- vegetative vascular dystonia, hypertonic and hypotonic type (headaches, meteosensitivity);
- intracranial pressure;
- blurred vision (myopia, astigmatism)
- spasmodic torticollis.
